My close friend Charlotte told me once that some of the best baby shower gifts to give were the ones that were difficult to think of. She said that it’s very easy to come up with common baby shower gifts, but trying to come up with an original and creative idea takes time. She also said that when you are  thinking of different gifts you plan to bring, you should try imagining what the mother’s reaction would probably be. If you can imagine your friend being happy over your gift, then it’s a keeper. If not, think harder and deeper.

Some of the best baby shower gifts that she recommended for me to bring were diaper cakes. Diaper cakes for baby showers  make great baby shower gifts because they are very creative and chances are, nobody else will bring one. Everybody else will be shocked when they see your amazing and original idea. So bring a diaper cake and be amazed at all their reactions.
